Where can I get this bow part?
I accidentally dry-fired a Browning Mag Reflex Bow and a piece holding the strings together below the top cam broke off. There’s one on the bottom too, I’ve been told it’s called a torque equalizer. This bow is old, so does anyone know where I can get this part?
It’s been checked by several places who don’t ahve the part. I’ve been to Basspro, local gun and bow shops, etc. It was only dry fired from about halfway, and the pull is only 50 lbs, I was letting it down when it slipped. All shops said it would be an easy 15 minute, low price fix if I could find anywhere with that part.
I contacted Browning, they said they don’t have any of the parts, so instead I can find an older bow shop that has older parts I’m outta luck.
Hendu2875 has probably got the right idea, you will most likely have to contact Browning. Also, as Barry M makes a good point, have your limbs inspected. Don’t go to a sports super store as most employees know less about bows than the average bow hunter. I go to a little shop in a small town (bass pro), the older man there knows his stuff. I shoot a Browning Rage with a Hypermax 10 cam. I love my Browning. Good luck and happy hunting.
I am sorry to hear that, it sounds like you are at the mercy of pure luck. You may want to look for a new bow. It will be an up-grade from any older bow. Everything is lighter, faster,and have higher let off%’s. My bow only weighs 4 lbs.
