How do I know what Carbon arrow to choose for hunting?
I just purchased a new bow and I want to buy some carbon arrows. What is the correct arrow (size, weight, ect..) to buy. I have a 63#draw weight and 271/2 draw length on a new PSE. I have been give 3 different answers from 3 different pro shops. Thank You
That’s easy. Your shaft size would be 400 or 410 for carbon arrows IF YOU ARE USING 100 GRAIN Broadheads. I dont know why you are getting 3 different answers. There is only 1 chart to use. It is found on Easton Arrows website. The 1 important piece of info you didn’t mention would be grain size of broadheads. I used to shoot 125 but this year I dropped to 100 to pick up more speed.

Bowhunters ….. I have a 27 inch draw, I use a PSE compound bow … so that the length of the arrow must be shot?
I discovered a rest 1 inch front ….. I am interested in deer, Turkey and the hunting of antelopes, but I went hunting arc of about 15 years and I really want to go back ….. Thank you for the help
Well, if I understand you have a 27 "draw with a 1 overdraft. Usually, it takes a minimum of 1 "over the arrow beyond his rest. Draw your bow back with an arrow and an uncut place someone in his arrow 1-2 "past where the arrow contacts the rest. Thus, depending on your living room, somewhere in the range 25-26.5"

my bow has a 29″ draw length, what size arrows should we buy?
my wife bought me a bow, it has a 29″ draw length, what size arrows should we buy? It Is a PSE Durango with a 70# Draw weight.
29″ draw length, maybe 31″ arrow, you’ll need something stiffer than a 400. The stiffness of arrows actually also depends on the design of the shaft. Parallel shafts you’re probably ok with a 400 size, but barreled shafts you’ll need something like a 310. I have a 31.5″ draw, shooting 29″ shaft 110 grain points, at 46 pounds I’m shooting 450 barreled shafts, 530 parallel. Pick a manufacturer, then go to their website, they’ll have arrow charts, Easton develops a software. You punch in your cam type, weight, broadhead weight, and draw length, it’ll tell you the recommended arrow sizes and models.
