The cable on my compound bow is knocking my arrow off the rest, how can i fix it?
I keep having to set me prong rest to the left so it does not get hit off by the cable, but that means my arrow is not flying straight but to the left. Is there anything i can do to fix it? I am using Cabela’s stalker arrows 55-70 pounds and i have a pse Nova Hunter 8 bow from bass pro shops. This happened after i got new arrows and got the poundage weight raised to 58 from 54 (not a big difference) could that have made it where the arrow is getting hit of by the cable? The only solution i have is the little white clip on the cable, switching it so it holds the overlapping string is tighter than the string it is overlapping, but is that more dangerous since there would be more pressure on that string? sorry obviously not a bow technican, any help is appreciated
That “little white clip” is supposed to keep your cables from rubbing on the thing called the “cable guard bar”. That’s the bent steel rod that sticks out the back of the bow. The guard bar is what’s supposed to keep the cables offset to the right of your arrow. Does your bow not have a cable guard bar? If it does, it sounds like your bar isn’t offset enough. In which case, you’d need to loosen the nut, turn the bar, and retighten. If you don’t have the bar at all, get one.
