I need some opinions on a Bow and Arrow. Its brand name is Hoyt Raptor.?

I need some opinons on this bow that I found on CraigsList Im just picking up the sport and dont want to spen allot of money cause Im still going to do some growing.
I need some opinons on this bow that I found on CraigsList Im just picking up the sport and dont want to spen allot of money cause Im still going to do some growing. Well I can pull back 65 lb. with not that much trouble. But what I really need to know is if spending $150 on a Hoyt Raptor that is used is really worth it? Its draw weight is 70 to 75 lb. and has a draw length of 28 to 30 inches.
Please Help!!

I’d say stay away from it, if you’re just starting out. That kind of poundage at best will give you a few shots, at worst it can tear your rotator cuff. I’ve seen way too many people get knocked out of archery due to torn rotator cuffs.

For compound bows, stay in the 30-40# range for starter. Always warm up your muscles before you shoot. A stretch band is very good for this.
