Can anyone give me some advice please?

I bought a compound bow for the manufacture of Hoyt. Usa Arch. is a red ribbon that says Raider in the other side what is it useful? is an arc dear? weight that says # 35-50, so I'm confused. What do you think? It also seems a bit higher

You have an interesting question. I heard Hoyt bows, but personally I did not shoot on one, do not judge them. Its interesting to say the color red because I think that most colors are the arcs of target shooting. As for what its worth, I would say not a heck of a lot because their use. If equipped its probably worth 75 to 200 $. The weight is not bad … Although the handle should be 40 50 for hunting. Since you say your not sure take him to a studio shot with a bow and they can say much more about it and even set up with him. Personally, I would suggest trading in the shop archery hoyt and investment a new arc that matches your needs. Arcos are very personal devices. Are created for each person and buying a used car, unless you take it and adapt it for you Pulling their accuracy and less. And really, 500 to $ 600 you can have an excellent introduction for hunting and 3D shooting. Hope this helps, and good chance to bow!

Anyone have or had a hoyt raider?

I got a hoyt raider a while back. I like the bow and it shoots well. It needs a little work like a string, tuned, and adjusted for length and weight. I don’t have the money to buy a new bow right now. Is this hoyt worth putting money into so I can hunt this year. Anyone know how to adjust the draw weight? Anything else I sould know about?

Those were a lower priced bow in 90′s. Hoyt made a good bow, and unless the limbs have faded on it I would suggest just getting new String and Buss cables for it. Draw length on those was in the cams, different ones for different draw lengths. Each was adjustable somewhat by end placement on the cams. Most of them had 3 positions for string to attach. Poundage was attained by the limb bolts screwing all the way in for highest poundage. You could also twist up the buss cables equal amounts on each to up the poundage, but don’t go overboard on that. Buss cables HAD to be the same length to tune the cams into sync. Cams should roll over the same amount at same time.
Check your local archery pro shop for strings. And you can contact Hoyt USA and get all the info you need on string length and buss cable lengths. Oh and they could tell you the cam sizes on it too. It is worth fixing in my mind. Good luck with it. Keep em sharp and pick a spot when hunting.
