Are there any new compound bows coming out that are still only 65% let-off?
I’m still using a 1995 Hoyt Defiant Carbonite bow with 65% let off. (And I love it) I have been thinking about buying a new bow but they are all like 75-80% let off.
My concern is that I do more hunting than competition shooting and I want to be able to enter a Whitetail Buck in the Pope & Young record book if I would happen to get a nice one. I’ve had a few close but not quite. And in the P&Y rules of fair chase it states that if you take a high enough scoring animal with a bow that has a let-off greater than 65% they put an asterisk by your name. I don’t want to feel like Barry Bonds if I would happen to bag a trophy. So I was just curious if anyone still makes a “compound” bow with a 65% let off.
Thanx
A lot of compound bows are 65% and you can modify this. For example, the Alpine Frontier, Martin Sabre, and Ross Cardiac.

and there are many, many more …. you shouldnt be too put off by this as, like i said, you can modify a lot of them to
your needs, just check the specs first before you buy.
