I would like to get into archery. What is a good compound bow? Hoyt?
I would like to get a high quality bow with alot of power. Also where is a good website etc to learn the equipment? Thanks!
try traditional archery its so much more fun and its much more of a personal challenge but compounds are for people tht dont want to practice and are to lazy to go out every day and shoot

2009 HOYT AVENGER ? Mathews switchback archery?
is this a good bow and i have a chance to buy one brand new for 350 but its a 2009 which is almost new but is this too good to be true and is it a good bow. im between this and a used mathews switchback for the 400 but it will need a new string and its a 2006 i think. whats your opinion on both and which one should i get
The Avenger is being sold new for $350 on e-bay. I don’t understand why so cheap. I would be extremely leary of buying the Avenger.If all the Switchback needs is a new string I would more then likely go with it. The Switchback is a good bow.But you need to know the string will run you in the neighborhood of $70 for it.All your top line bows of both companies use the highest quality strings. You will have to have some custom made to get a better string. The Avenger may be a good bow, but there is just something wrong with an unlimited amount of new bows selling that cheap.
