i have a fred bear lights out compound bow and i was wondering since I want a string tamer which i’d have to?
buy the front mount string tamer this means id have to get rid of the stablelizer and just use the tamer as a stablelizer and is that ok?
It should work ok. I have shot for years with out a stabilizer at all (I do have one now, can’t really tell that it helps). Just practice with your new set up and you should be ok.

What is your opinion on these 3 recurve bow for the first time?
He has never owned a bow. I shot one when I was young once and did well. I am a fast learner, so I know I'll pick you up quickly. I reduced these 3 bows and sing to decide the best for me. I feel that everything will be fine because they are all quality brands of renowned companies. The first is the Fred Bear Super Kodiak. The second is the Fred Bear Cheyenne. And the third is the Martin Mamba. Do you think it would be a big difference in how they draw? Also, my wife and I could be at the bow, is possible to have different strings to make it easier for her to go back when he is filming?
Or they do well. But always keep in Kodiak had the reputation of being an arc of doing good. You will unable to change the tensile strength of the bow when it comes to a woman recurve.Your have to get one that can withstand the weight of the draw. In my state, it is legal to hunt with a bow draw weight 30 lbs. Each state varies so be sure to check your regulations available on bowhunting so is what you can do.

I have a 69 inch Bear Tamerlane recurve from the late 1960′s era. A 66 inch string seems too short.?
From the back of the arrow rest to the string is 12 1/4 inches. A 67 in string changes that measurement to 8 1/4. I cant get the Fred Bear company to respond. What string size is correct? I would not be able to get a 64 inch string on this bow. A 68 inch string hits my hand when shot.
This is a recurve. It is 69 inch bow with a 44 pound draw. I know that the 68 inch string is too long, but it is the one bass pro’s experts said I needed. I tried the 66 inch string next. It was difficult to string, and the rest to string mesurement of over 12 inches goes against everything I have read about how the string should fit. I believe the 67 inch string is correct, but I can find no reference for that. It is only two inches longer than the 69 inch bow length that is indicated on the side of the bow.
A 69 inch bow sounds more like a longbow then a recurve. However, if you hit your hand with the string, the strings length was entirely too long. A bow string is always shorter then the bows length on a traditional bow.
