How can I get into a archery team and competition shooting?
I am 15 years old and live in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia. I have been shoot bows all my live and currently I am shooting a 2007 Diamond Triumph. I am looking to join some sort of team and do competitions and tourneys.
Actually to go to a tournament you don’t even need to join a team. You can, but not necessary. First decide what kind of tournament you’re interested in. Field, 3D, or target. Then go to the website for the state association for Pennsylvania. For target archery this is www.psaa.net, there should be a calendar on there somewhere of the tournaments.
Does your highschool have an archery program? That’s another way to get a team started, or you can join a JOAD program.
