How much draw weight should I apply for my bow?

I’m starting up archery and I’m not sure how much draw weight I should have with my bow. I’m a guy, 15, 5’8″ and about 125 lbs. I was thinking I could use a 40-50 pound bow, but I’m not sure. I’m determining between the browning micro midas 3 and the browning micro adrenaline. THANK YOU. any advice is appreciated.

It will depend on what you want to do with your bow.
Most states have a legal minimum draw weight requirement to legally hunt game. Usually around 35 to 40 pounds.

If you are shooting in 3D competitions, you will want to draw a stronger weight in order to consistently shoot the 12 ring at 60 yards.

If you are shooting just for the fun of slinging some arrows, you could shoot 25.

Height and weight do not mean anything when it comes to draw weight. I’m a 6′ woman and I pull 45#.
I know a guy who is 5’2 and draws 70#.
I know a woman who is 5’6″ and she draws 85#.

It depends on how strong your arm muscles are and what your draw length is as well.

Longer draw lengths can get the job done at a lower poundage than a shorter draw length because of kenetic energy rules.

Bottom line is, it depends on what you want to use your bow for!

What is the best exhaust?

I have a Browning micro adrenaline, and I'm trying to understand what is the best are silent? And what a good stabilizer? And what do I need for my bow? " Thank you!

The microphone is a small bow, ideal for size of young shooters and smaller size. I suppose it may be new to the sport. I assume you mean silent chain. I have seen, use and sell all kinds of them, and I can say that all do the same thing. I prefer the type of rubber spider. The idea is to take focus "beyond the arc during firing. Almost all the stabilizing function thereof. Choose one that does not exceed 6 inches if you want hunting. stabilizer gives the arc a little weight to avoid the new arrow is launched. This will happen if you pull a handle in bulk, which is what you should be in good shape, tight control can tie the bow aside. There is much debate about what are the best. I worked in a Store arc of 15 years, and sold the smallest to the most expensive. I now know a good stabilizer can run $ 50 and some of the most "Refined" which can be as much as $ 200. Stbilizer I doubt that $ 200 will help better to kill a deer than $ 75. Often the most expensive are modular and can be extended to target shooting. I suggest you find a decent bow Pro Shop / (not the kind of Wal-Mart) and see what they say. However, remember that if you buy accessories quality for a bow, just redeem them when you put your bow. In other words, spend money on a decent quality rest, sight, stabilizer, and quiver, you'll go out afterwards and up to a Browning or Bow Tech Mathews Hope this helps.
