Chris Brown is one of the youngest performers in the rap/hip-hop industry. He made his official debut in 2005 with his self-titled album, which was released when he was just 16 years old. His success was largely propelled due to the massive success of his hit “Run It!” which topped the Billboard Hot 100. Fans loved his originality and the fact that he was just a young teenager, seeking to make it big in an industry that is often hard to compete in. Brown released his second studio album in November 2007, called Exclusive. Chris Brown was born in the very small town of Tappahannock, Virginia. Chris Brown may be a young man still in his teens, but his powerful voice proves that he has the ability to compete with the biggest names in the hip-hop industry. This was solidified with his impressive win the other night at the American Music Awards.
