What do you think of the short poem below?
this one is the complete version with some slight changes:
it describes the aftermath a battle scene:
swords clang while arrows storm
heads are crushed with helmets worn
firs feasts on bodies hewn
its black mist hides the light of morn
silence dies as men ride fast
while looking with eyes aghast
the twinkle of armour hurts the eye
and the great plain is grey and vast
forth came a rider, son of kings
he who fights when his people sing
songs about heros, demons and myths
songs about wars with legendry beings
There he laid his shield and mace
while sorrow paced his face
and when he saw the glittering sword
he ran forth, with great haste
the sword was broken, its blade in two
its greatness taken by the ruthless foe
it was un-made, the famouse blade
the one its power naught could show
The sun shone and its light swept
and the hero sat and slowly wept
and his eyes moaned as tears flowed
for the death of his brother was no small theft

You’ve chosen a good rhyme pattern…it’s called a Rubaiya, as in the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. That said, you need to lengthen some of your lines and watch your meter…there are beats missing and some line begin on the wrong beat. Word order also affects how easily the words flow…for example, look at the original and an edited version of this line:
forth came a rider, son of kings
and
came forth a rider, a son of kings
and
a rider came forth, a son of kings
see how each one has a different feel, yet they all say the same thing? Yet each one has a particular rhythm. Now look at this line:
swords clang while arrows storm
the line is a spondee…no up or down beats, just flat words…which is okay, but you have to use it at the right time or your beginning starts out with a flat tire.
Next, watch your rhymes…”blade in two”…”two” in this case sounds like “too”, which does not rhyme with “foe” or “snow”. Although you might say it was a visual rhyme, epic poems don’t rely on visual rhymes because they were meant to be sung…so you need a new rhyme word or you need to revise the entire line so it rhymes correctly.
Next, even when creating metaphors, you need to ensure you have the correct word pairs: “eyes moaned”…you don’t need to reference the “eyes” before you say that tears flowed…so you can choose another word other than “eyes” that moan…or say the eyes did something else…but moan is not the right word here.
The story line is okay, the images are fine, for the most part, but you need to work on the details of the delivery. Try having someone read the poem out loud to you so you can hear it without your brain forcing it to sound right (brains do that). You’ll hear things you never heard when you read it to yourself and will be able to more quickly identify what works and what needs editing.
It’s a good start…just do some editing and you’ll be fine…and keep writing.

Abu Dujana
Between the Lions of Allah was a fellow named Abu Dujana bin Sammak Kharsha (CEOS). It was the Ansar and embraced Islam at the beginning of the Prophet (saw) mission. He was known for his piety, strength and courage in the Jihad. Where you find your name in the books of the Sunnah, it can be found for the fight against Deen of Allah.
During the battle of Uhud, the second The most important battle (after victory at Badr), the Prophet (saw) urged his colleagues to fight and encouraged to show the strength and firmness in Jihad. He began to implement the spirit of boldness and courage in them. To wage and inflame and keep their zeal in the fight, he (saw) drew his sword, he held in his hand and called his Sahaba and said: "Who is ready to accept and comply with this sword is good?" Many prominent Sahaba whole take. Among them were Umar Ali bin Abi Talib, Az-Zubair Al-bin'Awwam and "bin Al-Khattab. But she has been given to none of them. Abu Dujana rose and asked: "O Messenger of Allah, What is your price? "The Prophet (saw) said," is to achieve the enemy, he must face up to failure! "Then Abu Dujana, said:" O Messenger of Allah, I will give the value for money. And he gave the sword.
Abu Dujana was a man of courage who used to be proud and courageous war. Here wearing a red ribbon around his head. When he was head of bands everyone knew he was determined to fight to death. Therefore, when Abu Dujana has Prophet (saw) sword, head bands and began to strut around proudly among the mujahideen. Seeing this, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "It's kind of foot except Allah hates such a situation (Jihad). "So began struggle. In this battle, countless acts of courage can be seen in several Sahaba. Abu Dujana, the red band recognized by hanging his head, left, fight with the sword of the Prophet (saw). He was determined to pay the price at any price. He killed all the idolaters who was on the way to divide and disperse their ranks. Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam said: "I felt angry and discouraged when the Messenger of Allah (saw) refused to give me the sword, but he gave Abu Dujana. I said, 'I am his paternal cousin. I am the cousin of his aunt Safiya. In Furthermore, I am of his tribe (Quraish). In addition, I was the first who asked me and yet he favored. By Allah, I will see how he will use it. "So I went and saw the look of its red band and wear it around your head. Seeing him thus, the Ansar said:" Abu Dujana has used the red band of death. "Then he (Abu Dujana) shown saying out loud (in poetry)," I'm the one that my close friend [the Prophet (Saw)] made a covenant with, when we were under the palm trees on the mountainside. The deal was that it would not cons-attack but fighting heroically against the sword of Allah and His Messenger. "
During this battle is not the road Abu Dujana and remained alive. He was a man among the idolaters whose only objective was to destroy the Muslims injured. During the match, was Abu Dujana approached this man, so I (Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam) prayed to Allah for
could engage. Has been removed Wrestling and exchanged two sword. The idolater swung at Abu Dujana, but he escaped and crossed swords on his (Abu Dujana leather coat). The idolater's sword now stuck to his shield, Abu Dujana has been launched with the Kaffir sword and killed him. Then, in the heat of battle, rushed to kill a person who has been to encourage the enemy to fight against the Muslims. This person was shouting and voila! I was a woman. Abu Dujana spared, saying: "I respect the Prophet (SAW) for use swords too in a woman. "The woman was Hind bint 'Utbah (the wife of Abu Sufyan, who was leading the Quraish army against the Muslims, most is later became a Muslim). "[Ibn Hisham Vol 2. Pg.68-69] In the description of the incident, Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam said: "I saw Abu Dujana up a sword on the separation of Hind bint 'hair Utba, but walked away. I said, 'Allah and His Messenger know better. (In other words, why not killed). Ibn Hisham [Vol 2 pg 69.]
Before the battle of Uhud began, the Prophet (saw) has ordered a group of archers to stay in a mountain to offer protection to the rear of the Muslim army. However, when Muslims began to defeat their enemies, forty of the archers ran down the mountain to receive his share of the spoils of war. The Quraish used this opportunity to go back and attack the rear of the Muslim army. Close enough to attack the Holy Prophet (SAW) himself and has undergone serious injury. In these difficult times of the Messenger of Allah (saw) life, a group of Muslim heroes gathered around the Prophet (SAW), which forms a shield to protect against the kuffar. Among them was Abu Dujana. He appeared before the Messenger of Allah (SAW), the protection of the arrows back. While these attacks against the Prophet (saw) continued life, Uthman ibn Abdullah ibn Al-Mugheerah (a of the enemy) approached him and tried to kill him. But Al-Harith bin As-Simma came to his defense and cut into her leg Othman dropping to the ground. Then Al-Harith killed it. However, another cyclist, Mecca called Abdullah bin Jabir, attacked Al-Harith bin As-Simma, and penetrate deep into the shoulder with his sword and he (al-Harith) was taken to the camp of the Muslims who suffer serious injuries. Shortly after, Abu Dujana, with its red tape and saw the Prophet () the sword, he found Abdullah bin Jabir and cut his head with a once. During the confusion caused by an error of archers to leave his post, many Sahaba were martyred. Thus began the Quraish maul their body appease the pride of their defeat at Badr. Bin Ka'b Masaid, "I am one of those Muslims who fought in Uhud and witnessed the
Act kuffar of barbarism maul the body, but left the hearing because he could not stand it. He saw a polytheistic Navy thickness pass by Muslims and say, 'is to meet as sheep are rounded up and slaughtered! Also, I saw a Muslim army that awaited him. I walked to them until I was behind him (the Muslims). Comparing the two, I considered that millet was higher than the other in the arms and waist. I continued to watch them going to battle, man to man. The Muslim raised his sword and waved it vigorously Kafir in with such force that the blade along her hips and is divided into two. When the Muslim has unveiled its face, I looked up and said: "What do you think that Ka'b? "I am Abu Dujana."
After the battle ended, the later in the day (or Saturday, the seventh of Ramadan, AH third year), the Messenger of Allah (saw) came to Medina. Upon returning home, surrendered his sword to his daughter Fatima and said: "My daughter, wash the blood of this sword. By Allah, has been useful for me today. "'Ali bin Abi Talib also gave his sword and said, "and wash the blood of this sword too. By Allah, who has been helpful for me today." Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Sahl bin Haneef and Abu Dujana have been as courageous as you are in jihad."
After the death of the Holy Prophet (saw) during Caliph Abu Bakr (RAA), Abu Dujana fought until he was Shaheed (martyr) against the army of al-Musailima Kathabar [the liar who said the prophecy in the life the Prophet (SAW) and wages war against his Sahaba when Abu Bakr was Khalifah.] For us, life is a legacy of sacrifice and lessons of courage and ferocity against the disbelievers. Y Soldiers of Allah on the red band of death "in our time, he is the incarnation a real Mujahid. The mercy of Allah be upon Abu Dujana and He guides our young Muslims to respect the example he left behind. Ameen

A History of Silver
The ancient Italians and Greeks used silver for personal ornament, jewelry, vessels, arrows, coinage, and weapons. Silver was either inlaid or plated. Silver was likewise combine with gold in producing white gold, and was likewise mixed with baser metals.
Some of the types of ancient jewelry were discovered in the tomb of Queen Pu-abi at Ur in the ancient country of Sumeria which existed some 5000 years ago. The said crypt contained jewelry made from silver, gold, carnelian, lapis lazuli, agate, and chalcedony beads.
One of the richest deposits of precious metals was the Aegean lands. The deposits of these metals were estimated to have existed in 2000 BC. The biggest of these deposits was referred to as Priam’s Treasure, a large silver cup where gold ornaments consisting of pectorals, six bracelets, 9,000 beads, and 60 earrings were held. Silver was used in the Greek areas although only a few rings, vessels, headbands, and pins survived.
In the Mycenaean and Minoan civilizations, silver was also harnessed. A couple of silver dagger blades were discovered at a tomb at Kumasa. Silver ornaments and seals from the same era were likewise found in the said regions. Silver cup discovered in Gournia traces back to 2000 BC. Some of the jugs and vases from Mycenae were out of silver, while blades are inlaid with silver, gold, niello, and electrum.
Silver use remained prevalent from the Bronze and Iron ages. Embossed and engraved silver bowls used by the Phoenicians were located in Greece. Most of these bowls have elaborate designs of Egyptian and Assyrian characters, making experts conclude that the said items were brought to Greece.
There were some simpler types that were designed with rows of flowers and animals that are difficult to distinguish from the earliest Hellenic products. A typical silver bowl used in 5 BC has a fine flower style.
The earliest form of Christian silverwork resembled closely the work of pagans and made use of techniques such as chasing and embossing. Design was classical, at times decorated with pagan scenes.
During the Ottonian period, design of silverwork focused on the human body and made use of chip-carving techniques or the niello. Some of the examples of silverwork during this period are the Tassilo Chalice and the book cover of Lindau Gospels.
In the 1200s the Roman Catholic Church supported the arts, with silver and gold becoming the setting for many enamels like the framework of altars or devotional diptychs and triptychs, and shrines of saints. The same period also marked the rise of silversmiths which resulted from the increased wealth of the aristocracy, royal courts, and merchants.
Secular silver also saw continued rise in output with the emergence of the middle class. Silver was used in the manufacture of spoons and drinking bowls, as well as the numerous reliquaries and altar plates.
During the Baroque period, Huguenot silversmiths introduced new standards in craftsmanship in England. During this time, the silver furniture became extremely fashionable among the royalty and the nobleman.

Does anyone know the name or how to find an online game (described below)?
Okay, so you have this rectangular screen area with a bunch of balls bouncing around in it. Then you have your cursor which looks like a little skill saw blade that you use to “cut” out areas of the screen, leaving the balls inside. You need to get rid of so much of a percentage of the screen to pass the level. The cursor is controlled with the arrow keys. If the bouncing balls hit where you are trying to cut before you finish a cut, you lose a life, or if they hit the cursor you lose a life. Each level has more balls, and a higher percentage of the screen you have to clear.
I played this game quite a bit about 6-8 years ago, and have lately wanted to play it again.
