Runescape 1-99 Fletching Guide
Fletching will require some money but only later on, at the beginning you will need only tools.
Step 1. 1-20
The first step is simple, you will need a hatchet and a knife. Wield your hatchet (you don’t have to but it will speed up the process.) and carry your knife in your inventory. Go in or south of the Grand Exchange (see map) and chop down regular trees. After you have an inventory of logs use your knife to turn them into arrow shafts. While you can do bows it is better to do arrow shafts because they are stackable and you never have to bank them, unlike bows.
Step 2. 20-35
Now you will be doing oaks. The best place to do this is Camelot bank
or the east Varrock bank.
Make the logs into Oak shortbows and then longbows depending on your level and you should not string them as it is a waste of money. Both locations are good for banking (Camelot is better.) and you can sell them to the General store.
Step 3. 35-50
Now we will be moving onto Willows. The only really good place to do this is south of Draynor bank. Just repeat the process as the oak bows until you reach level 50. Once again you can bank and sell your unstrung bows to the general store.
Step 4. 50-65(or 70)
Now we will need that money I mentioned earlier. You will need to buy 7k maple logs (6962) for 65 or 13k (12,726) for 70. You will cut them into unstrung bows depending on what level you are longs/shorts. You can stop at 65 to buy unstrung yew shortbows and string them, but it doesn’t save much time and it takes a lot more money. You may be able to sell the unstrungs in the Grand Exchange but it can take days to sell or just sell them to the General Store.
Step 5. 70-85
Almost There! So you need to get to level 70, whether you completed it in the last step or you are going to do stringing yew shorts, get to 70. Once you are at 70 you will need an incredible amount of money so many people will need to buy the supplies in waves. Good strategies include to buy as many sets of unstrungs and bowstrings and string them in one day. (Keeping it under 5600 a day may be helpful but will take 5-6 days) And just staying at the grand exchange so you can do little sets of bows and strings. Make sure to take breaks from fletching or you’ll be bored out of your mind and probably won’t finish to 99.
Step 6. 85-99
The last step
Remember what you did in with the yew logs in the last step? Well i hope you didn’t miss it because we’re doing it again. You will be stringing 106,840 to reach 99 and to keep a good pace you need to do at least 11200 bows a day and still it will take 10 days. If you can do more, you should try.
