What should I do archery exercises?
"I consider myself a moderate archer, and the i shoot arrows from 80 to 160 (or if there is a competition) for weeks. I just got a gym membership and I honestly I have no idea where to start. What exercises should I do? What muscle groups i should focus on? At this point my bow is in the 40th s and I want my eventual goal of 50 # s in a while … Any help is appreciated!
You need to shoot more. Your total weekly running does not match one of my practices in the afternoon. If you are shooting a compounded increase the poundage a full rotation of bolts of the limbs and shoot at the draw weight until it becomes easier for you. Then increase again and repeat the process. But you have to pull over that is filming now. A few years ago I was in the bow shop when several customers looking at the bow new skinny teenager who had just out.A young man who had been shooting arcs for a time took one which was set at 70 pounds and was rescued without any problem. A guy who had been lifting weights for quite some time and was very muscular it picked up the bow and tried to draw all back.Since looked at him as he was trying to do it up again he was putting everything he had into the effort. Its face turned red and still could not pull back. Finally, he gave and said it was the most embarrassing thing that had happened to him. The moral of this story is there a different set of muscles you use in drawing a bow back. And the best way to strengthen these muscles is to shoot his bow and add elaborate weight slowly as your muscles get used to draw the bow weight.

Archery Equipment – Selecting Bow Sights
Unlike in most other sports, archery calls for a number of equipments as well as accessories. When you look at the larger picture of offerings from an archery equipment store, the list will run into several pages and the numbers moving into the five digits. That is the amazing array of archery equipments. It was not very easy to get these archery equipments until a few years ago. Ever since the character of archery, equipments changed from warfare to sport, the application as well as the individual needs too changed. Fortunately, the interest in archery as a sport has been sustained leading to development of a number of modern accessories and variations in the basic equipment itself. Let us consider how these changes have influenced bow sights.
What are bow sights?
Bow sights represent small devices attached to bow riser to provide assistance in gauging the direction or trajectory of your arrow towards the target. Bow sights generally comprise a circular ring with one or several sight pins which can be helpful in locking a target at a specific distance. A peep sight may also be a part of the bow sight to further define your target area and make it more facile to light up sight pins attached to the target.
Importance of bow sights
Bow sights are critical for most archers because it helps them perfect their shot. The archer’s own skills and the bow sights together would determine the success or failure of the next shot. Bow sights provide the additional accuracy required. When you expect to perform to a particular standard, choosing the correct bow sight is essential. The designs are plenty and the effectiveness too varies. It is only through repeated practice that the archer will get accustomed to using bow sights.
Some variations
The widely prevalent format is the fixed pin sight. To fasten the sights to the bow, direct attachment to the bow riser and dovetail system as an option are employed. The mounting is a two part system with a metal bracket fixed to the riser and a sight bracket to hold the sight body. Mounting itself can be achieved in quick time by sliding in or out of main bracket. The material of construction generally is either aluminum or polymer. Other durable materials are also employed for the more expensive variety.
Adjustable pin sights – These can be moved and need to be adjusted according to the yardage prior to launching the shot. The mounting bracket on the bow sights can be marked with the yardage so that the archer need not gauge distances. The adjustable pin sights are therefore the favorite of many archers for the ease which it provides in estimating distances.
Pendulum type – These bow sights carry a single pin sight which swings inside the pin’s housing. Typically, these are sighted from ground locations at about 20 yard distances. While using Pendulum sights, the hunter focuses more on the target rather than on adjusting the sights.

I’m looking for a few websites with accessories and products focusing on archery competition,?
I have recently attained a new Bow-Tech Guardian and have decided that its time to step up and play with the big boys in some competition shoots. If anyone can suggest any websites or retail stores it would be nice. It seems all I can find is just stuff for hunting and not competition shooting.
Thanks!
http://www.lancasterarchery.com is pretty much the largest archery store in the US
http://www.k1-archery.com, the owner Friedhelm is very knowledgeable, very good prices too. He mainly caters to the tournament shooters, he’s one himself, he doesn’t have any hunting equipment in his shop.
http://www.altservices.biz, another very good store in the UK.
