does anyone know how to weigh field points and find out how many grains they weigh?
I organized all my archery shooting equipment and I found several dozen field points and I dont know how much they weigh, and I need to know how to find their weight in grains, all that I have the ability to find is their weight in ounces.
i use a powder scale,,1 oz is 437.5 grains,you may be able to get close idea by seeing how many points it takes to make an oz.add points till scale comes close to ounces example 2oz for 5 points=175 grains

1. An end is one quiver’s worth of shooting, there are many different types of round. The word ‘end’ comes from the old days, way back when, I’m talking about back in the medieval ages, when archers shoot they have target bales on both ends of the field to maximize shooting time. So when all archers has finished shooting their quivers, the command to retrieve arrows was to ‘change ends’. They’ll walk to the target bale and shoot from the other end of the field. A round is several ends put together. A FITA outdoor round for instace consists of 36 ends, 12 ends for the long distance part with 6 arrows per end, and 24 ends for the short distance part with 3 arrows per end. Then there’s the FITA 300 round, the 900 round, field round, Olympic round etc.
2. Unlike the FITA target with a maximum score of 10, the NFAA target has a maximum value of 5. So a 300 round in the NFAA uses 60 arrows instead of 30. The NFAA 5 ring is also about the size of the FITA 9 ring.
