I took a sort of introduction of archery, and bought a compound bow line. How do I care for him?
I just got a line from the bow of IM thinking about getting into archery. I thought it would be easy, but as Im reading theres more and more information. Also I cannot find the goal, and the weight label is missing. I have a bear compound bow, and says Black / MAG in small letters on side. I looked on the website, and there is nothing similar. The series is BM-15776. The pull weight is high, the man said he was 50-60, but could you reduce it. Is it possible reduce it to 25 or less? My girlfriend will use the arc as well, so this tie is too heavy for her. 10 pounds was used to call during the introductory class. Im just looking for fun shooting targets, not hunting at all. I also read that you need heavy arrows arc sufficient for the usual mess. How I find out? What kind of arc have? Thank you if the answer is
my wife shoots 50 pounds. no way to reduce this bow perticular beond that due to weight lower extremities are not made for it. you may want to look for his girlfriend of one arch of your account, the length for you and is probably different. most women or youth compounds run of about 30 -50 pounds lenght.so develop draw.most have adjustable, can be adjusted perfectly to the extent her.as concerend arrows is right, also in light of the shaft can damage your bow. to cause heavy preformance problems. with arrows that most carbon-marked to establish the weight now, like 55-75, which would operate 55 pounds to 75 pounds. Please check out low and Cabelas. both sites have a selection box arrow shaft in order to help you choose the right shaft for you. If you are interested in a bow can shoot so check out the genesis Mathews genesis bows regular is 10 to 20 pounds and 18 to 30 draw length and allows any person to shoot the same bow with no adjustment to the length, I bought my daughter the pro genesis. that is 15 to 25 pounds and has fail to note the adjustment from 18 to 30 inches, which is 8 years and shoots great .. or parent may pick up and play a little.as what I care to wax thorn in my chain. i clean the metal parts with CLP break free to protect from oxidation and store it in a hard protective case to keep the scratches my bow. since you are a beginner you should visit a pro shop archery for them to help with the selection of arrows, bows and accessories for fun with his new interest archery.

Compound Bows-Maintaining your investment
The purchase of a compound is an excellent investment, and not one you want to do every year.
and certainly not one that has to do every year. Even if you just started, there are composite bows that fit to grow with you, and depending on your age when you start, you can be the one to bow to buy.
Yes some people need it later "and" new "every year or every two years, but to really enjoy the sport of archery, you need only invest once may be twice
in a compound bow.
Now, like most things worth investing in, it is worth investing the time to take care, because the key to a successful hunt is an arc properly maintained.
Then how to care for a compound bow?
the first and probably the most important part of taking care of your bow is to buy case.when an arc is the last time you've spent a lot of money on something and get caught outside in the elements? In the back of your truck or hang in your garage is not a good place for investment. Excessive heat, moisture, dirt and pests, play an important role in the deterioration of the compound bow. proper storage or in a box or a long face is soft case very beneficial.
The next thing you need to pay attention, is the bow string and cables.
Ropes and cables arc must be frequent and waxed regularly. This will help keep the strengths and become fuzzy and worn.
Inspect Chains and cables after each use and check for signs of "confusion" and then give them a treatment of wax. The habit to do and you make sure your bow hunting bear in cables and ropes are strong and wet.
Other areas pay attention to their axles and bushings, for those who want to use an oil well with a bow, (you should have this information manual) to give some drops after each trip to the mountains. Some compound bows do not require this type of lubrication
So you want to make sure you select the first manual.
Always, always, always check before members of cracks, dents, or any other sign of China before and after shooting. And then they always have a professional look to solve the problem. The warranty must cover this topic. Never try to solve this problem by yourself.
And then check the bolts and tighten all loose arm, a simple set of allen keys is all it takes. Finally clean your compound bow from dirt and grime of the tour days.
This way each time you use your bow will keep you safely on their ability to perform well, and assist in its latest investment in the coming years.

Archery Compound Questions?
I am a newbie archery and tried to change my weight to lose something out as 60 pounds of draw weight is a bit much for me. I turned the screws on both clockwise a full turn to loosen. Now I see there is some space there? is that it implies should be. I do not want my bow to fall apart. The image of space Front: http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll227/jvee86/hwdjwh.jpg
Thus, assuming for a moment that your bow was nearly fully drawn weight 60 pounds, then yes, it's normal. If you still have the manual arc will tell you how many turns you can take it down. Depending on how you got your bow (from the mail by a store) a value leads to a workshop that will shoot through the paper to see if it is still tillered correctly. (It is, upper and lower extremities are pulling the arrow and the same thing) There is a great thing if you're a little adjustment, it is simply the arrow wobble in the air. What is the precision and speed of some effects too, but not so sensitive. If you bought the bow in a workshop archery would look decent for you, so while you do the same number rounds up and down is fine. Thinkingblade

Compound Bows – Maintaining Your Investment
Buying a compound is a big investment, it’s not one you want to make every year.and is certaintly not one you have to make every year.
Even if you’re just getting started, there are compound bows that adjust to grow with you, and depending on your age when you start, may be the only bow you need to buy.
Yes, there are those who need the “lastest” and “newest” every year or every other year, but to truly enjoy the sport of archery, you really only need to invest once maybe twicein a compound bow.
Now like most things worth investing in, it should be worth investing the time to properly take care of, because the key to a successful hunt is a well maintained bow.
So how do you take care of a compound bow?
the first and probably the most important part of taking care of your bow, is purchasing a bow case.when is the last time you spent a lot of money on something and left it set outside in the elements? In the back of your truck or hanging in your garage is not a good place for this investment. Excessive heat, dampness, dirt and pests, all play a big role in the deteriorating of your compound bow. Proper storage in either a hard sided case or a soft sided case is very beneficial.
The next thing you should pay attention to, is the Bow Strings and Cables.
Bowstrings and cables need to be frequently and regularly waxed. This will help keep them strong and from becoming fuzzy and worn.
Inspect your strings and cables after each use and look for signs of “fuzziness” then give them a wax treatment. Get into the habit of doing this and you will be confident that your bow will withstand hunting in damp conditions and your strings and cables will remain strong.
Other areas to pay attention to are your axles and bushings, for these you want to use a good bow oil, (you’re manual should have this information) give them a few drops after each outing into the brush. Some compound bows don’t require this kind of lubrication
So you want to make sure you check your manual first.
Always, always, always check your bow limbs for cracks, dents, or any sign of ware, before and after you shoot. And then always have a professional look at and fix the problem. Your warranty should cover this. Never try to fix this on your own.
And then check limb bolts and tighten any that are loose, a simple set of Allen wrenches is all you need. Finally wipe down your compound bow of any dirt and grime from the days outing.
By doingthese few simple steps each and every time you use your bow will keep you confident of it’s ability to perform well, and will help in making your investment last for years to come.

I hurt my collarbone using a compound bow, is this a result of bad form, how can I correct it?
I got a compound bow for my birthday, its a 55 pound draw, and I’m pretty new to archery. I went out and shot as many arrows as I could for a couple days. My right collarbone began hurting soon afterwards (I’m right handed) and I’m trying to figure out if its a result of bad form or if ‘m just sore from using different muscles to shoot the bow.
There is nothing wrong except you jumped into it and shot too much too soon. Lay off a while and just shoot a few arrows a day, and every few days add a few shots to your shooting session. The muscles you use in bowshooting are not normally used in the course of everyday life. You will have to gradually build up to the extended shooting sessions.
