whisker biscuit for compound bow?
i am looking into getting a whisker biscuit for my pse Nova vector 3 i am shooting 29 inch carbon arrows. is there different sizes of whisker biscuits, what kind do i need, and and other archery advice for a beginer?????
what does a good priced whisker biscuit cost?
They have different models of Whisker Biscuits. I shoot the Drop-Tine. The Deluxe QS has markings to help make adjustments easier. They have 2 sizes for carbon arrows. Medium for regular carbons and small for Axis and Maxima arrows. You can just change the disc if you change arrow sizes. They are the best rest I’ve ever shot. The arrow can’t fall off no matter how you turn the bow. Quiet and easy to tune also. As for other advice, have a pro shop or someone who knows what they are doing set up your bow, rest, sights, etc. Then practice a lot. You use muscles you don’t normally use and this will help develop muscle memory. Good luck with the new hobby.

What is the best size and by type to make a house with arrows?
I learn archery for fun and maybe time for small game and I think of my own arrows. Please tell me the best passer in length, circumference, weight and type of wood use.
There is no "best" size / length / girth / weight / etc when it comes to wooden pegs available in most hardware stores, if the blade is appropriate flexibility in the arc must be used, it will be the "best" for the Arc gleaning – No matter the type or quantity of wood Time / strong / heavy / thick it is. In general, what you find is 5 / 16 "to 3 / 8 inch diameter glean birch – birch is a fairly common word in the ear of material (often birch is not at all, but a variety pine or other conifers). By acquiring its gleaning, if you do not have a spine tester for portable you can take – and use – the store as beginning with "approximately 3 / 8 diameter, as you can find (a spine-tester will make things much easier) to determine in advance Your current version of mining in length, and reduce to glean the required length, taking into account the need for "extra" long for things like the notch and the point (my 29 extension "means my arrows are cut to 29 1 / 2" The slots are installed AFTER / Cut, jib length is measured from the bottom of the slot in the chain to the notch). Also, look for ears that are free of folds, cracks, and has no grain of wood from "Sideways" (the grain should run the entire length of the tip, if possible, with the grain on the side "The tree of management are more likely to break). From 3 / 8 "glean, to make arrows and see how they work with your bow, if indeed fly or jump and travel. Experiment with the actual length of the tree, cut 1 / 8 "wide if you do not fly well (starting with axes that are about 2 "too long to start) and if your arrows do not fly well with his bow, try to glean whether minor or major – or both – in diameter. Keep your arrows fly well, and remember the diameter of points used will generally be the same "sttrength" like others of the same diameter pins (there are always exceptions, so be sure to take into account the actual rate the timber is made of spikes). Note, however, that without a spine tester to achieve sufficient flexibility in the hardware gleaning is all conjecture. Good luck with your arrows, and they can not all fly straight!

How Important is Selection of Proper Archery Arrows?
Archery is a sport that calls for a lot of accuracy and precision in order to be competitive. If you’re starting out, selecting correct gear could help you to become a better archer.
Bow arrows are the most crucial part of the archery equipment, in addition to the bow itself. If you must save money buy cheaper bow but get better arrows.
Modern-day bow arrows can be fabricated from diverse materials which will modify its built-in performance capabilities. Commonly arrows are made from wood, carbon or aluminum. Whenever you’re a beginner to archery then you should look for good recommendation as to which material best fits your demands. The weight of the bow arrow will likewise produce an effect on its performance.
Wood arrows show a tendency to distort and break easy, and good care is important. A few wood bow arrows are produced from pressed cedar, which are firmer and withstand warping. While heavier and slower than non compressed wood, they allow for greater penetration. They are not very expensive and best suited for the beginners.
A good deal more durable are fiberglass bow arrows. Additional thing favoring fiberglass arrows is that they could be suited to each archer of different lengths and strengths. Additionally, fiberglass arrows of any given size are fabricated more uniformly than wooden arrows.
Aluminum bow arrows can be constructed to a greater extent more consistently than both wooden and fiberglass arrows. Moreover, these arrows are manufactured in an extensive assortment of sizes and in diverse types of aluminum alloys. That makes them available to just about everybody. Because these arrows might be straightened easy and the tips substituted, you are able to hold on to a fine set of these arrows for a long time. Regrettably, these arrows are quite costly but their durability and consistency earn them the number one option amid a lot of experienced archers.
In the end, the aluminum-carbon bow arrows. These types of arrows are built of an aluminum center with a carbon surface. Those arrows are slimmer and lighter than plain aluminum arrows, causing them fly quicker. The cost of these arrows constitutes a leading pull back. They’re usually in use along archers who shoot long distances in open air. Whenever you mean to put your arrows in one point on the target area, then these arrows are not for you. Whenever aluminum-carbon arrows are hit then the carbon surface might break up.
Various arrows feature diverse lengths and weights to think about. The heavier arrows will move slower but deliver a more assertive contact than the lighter ones. Consider the draw length setting of the bow and the right draw length of the archer when choosing an arrow. The two should equate in order to accomplish a best shot.
While the archers gain in strength, their draw distance will increase so they require longer bow arrows.
Fletchings of the arrows are as well crucial. Make certain the feathers are flat, rigid and properly glued on. Almost all target arrows have fletching that’s around three to four inches long. Bow hunting arrow fletching is around five inches long to support the bigger arrow head.
Bow arrows, when selected correctly, help archers hit the targets or at least, closer to the targets each time they are shooting. Beginners barely getting to learn this sport ought to test each type of arrow and select the best one that would accommodate them. Because the distance from their marks get further away every time they improve, the proper selection of arrow along with correct coaching and use of bow would guarantee that they would be competitive in that sport.

Call this guy, he set me up with my compound bow. He is a distributor and he could actually set you up over the phone and send you everything you need. I’ve never known anyone who knew more about all types of archery gear. He’s been doing this all his life.
Otherwise, for a recurve, if it were me I would try several and pull them all back with an arrow nocked and see which one is the most comfortable for you. Take an average length arrow (about 30″) and pull each bow back and note where the arrow is on the rest. The end of the arrow should stop just at the beginning of the bow handle. I would use a cheaper brand of carbon arrow b/cos they won’t bend or break easily like aluminum or wood so they would last longer. Use feather fletchings for a recurve as those are more forgiving as the arrow passes over the rest and keeps the arrow from bouncing off a bit. With a recurve, you can find several cheap targets that are fairly large to stop your arrows and they won’t penetrate as far as a compound bow would. Lost of peeps use stacked cardboard or hay to stop the arrow or piles of sand work great too.
Email me with Qs if you want. I’m not an expert on recurves though.
Good luck and welcome to the archery club!
