need recurve archery help! carbon arrow stiffness?
i bought arrows (carbon express heritage 350′s) [cut to 29"] that might be a little stiff for my bow. i didnt buy field tips / broadheads yet.
the reason i went stiffer is to add wiehgt to the arrow.
im shooting a 55# recurve. i want a heavy tip to offset the stiffness while maintaining accuracy
my questions is this:
what grain field tips would loosen up the stiffness so they fly well?
any recommendations made are helpful.
in hindsight i should have gotten the heritage 250′s (but hindsight is always 20/20)

I was gonna say, at 55# @ 29″, those 350′s should fly ok with a 120 grain tip. By comparison, I’m drawing 44# at 31″, shooting 450 Easton X-10′s with 110 grain tips. Now the carbon express do have a tendency to behave stiffer than the Easton X10′s. At the end of the day, recurves are hard to judge, best way to go about it is to get yourself a bunch of field points of different weights from 100 – 150 grains and play around with it. Those field points are cheap enough.
