which arrow is better for shooting rage 2 blade broadheads?
which arrow is better for shooting rage 2 blade broadheads?
i am deciding between the easton axis carbon n-fused 500 arrow and the easton flatline 500 arrow. i am pulling 50 lbs and shoot 200 fps with axis. the guy at the archery range said if i shoot flatline, i should shoot 220 fps. the flatlines r also alot lighter than the axis. For rage 2 blade, is it better to shoot a lighter arrow with way more speed, or shoot a heavier arrow with less speed? also which arrow would have better penetration?
It doesn’t matter which one you get. The rage broad head will not penetrate enough with a 50 lb pull bow to kill any deer you shoot unless extremely lucky. All other things being equal the heavier arrow will always penetrate better then the lighter one.

Why the rage broadheads so fantastic?
Many bow hunters have begun to realize the significant benefits of spikes Hunting rage. Not only are powerful, they offer high precision shots that create instant big cut diameters on first impact. Overall, peak Hunting rabies offer a degree of precision and accuracy not provided by most broadheads on the market these days.
broadheads classic problems
The problem with most broadheads conventional view is that not enter the game bad. There are a lot of friction, as soon as the tip touches the skin or bones of the game. Often, manufacturers of broadheads traditional aspects incorporated in design above, which can hinder performance. In general, these models can cause a great costume loss of kinetic energy, resulting plans inaccurate. Not only that, the reduction of the kinetic energy impact can cause a low shot penetration (sometimes half the head of a fixed blade). This results in a penetration rate of poor tissue, which often prevents the arrow to leave the body of the animal. Therefore, it is not a trace blood. In addition, in the case of rage broadheads the special design feature of the rear blade deployment resources leading to a key high-impact game resulted in a significant reduction in diameter.
The blades, which are fragile
Most conventional broadheads also come with fragile sheets. These often do not open when the tip touches the game. Only when the blades are Within that open completely. In addition, since these leaves do not come with back support so easily bend or break Once they reach the game with a big impact. This reduces their ability to kill the game at first. Rage expandable broadheads reduce risks of these things. First, its unique design ensures that a cut is made when the tip touches the game. Then, the slides open when you make the cutting reduces important throughout the game Rabies broadheads cause and effect plunge cutting deep into the game is an infallible kill the first time. Sharp blades literally split the skin and bones of the game resulting in a trail of blood to ensure decent work a certain death. In addition, there is a reduction of kinetic energy at all which means that the shot is straight and angular. Therefore, there is less chance of inaccurate shooting happen.
large reductions in diameter
This is one of rage broadheads have great advantages over their counterparts. The leaves of a A total opening time you play the game that results in a large circle cut into the game blades stretch fly with the same performance and accuracy only as an arrowhead regular field. In this way, bow hunters can be assured that the rage broadheads indeed the best broadheads on the market today. Not surprisingly, many experts are heading broadheads archery broadheads anger, rather classic!

Easton makes a very good brand, Gold Council and carbon arrows. Do not use expandable broadheads great game! Failures often and just not as reliable as broadheads with fixed blade. Muzzy is one of the best ever, in my opinion.

A Comparison Between the New Collections From Rage Broadheads and Other Broadheads
The new collection of rage broadheads is a fantastic set to have. Any hunter who is serious about getting game needs to get these. Not only do they have a great design they sure pack a punch when it comes to superior performance.
New design aspect
One of the distinguishing aspects about the new rage broadheads is that they come with a brand new design. The special rear blade propeller mechanism stays backwards until it hits the target. Upon impact, the blades fully open up. Compare this feature with the other broadheads in the market and you will soon find that other broadheads have an opposite design. That is, the blades remain outwards until impact. Then they open up only when inside the game. The rage broadheads, on the other hand, will open up as soon as the tip of the arrow shaft touches the game.
Large diameter cuts
One of the other significant distinguishing features of the rage broadheads is that it makes a huge cut into the game. The other broadheads in comparison make as little as half the size of the cut the rage broadheads make. This is because most conventional broadheads fail to open up their blades until fully inside the game. Also, the tip is not that sharp and often makes a measly cut on the game. This does not even leave a decent trail of blood as there is no exit hole in the game for the arrow shaft to leave. The rage broadheads leave a huge diameter cut because of the instant cut made as soon as the tip touches the game. Upon impact the blades fully open out leaving a huge cut into the game.
Minimal deflection
Most conventional broadheads tend to cause deflection in the arrow shafts. This means that you can never be sure that even a perfect shot will end up flying through the game in a straight shot. There is always the chance of an angular shot and a slight deflection involved. In comparison, with the rage broadheads, the special design feature makes sure that there is minimal deflection involved with the result that every shot is powerful and perfectly aligned.
No reduction in kinetic energy
Most other broadheads tend to reduce the kinetic energy of the arrow shaft once it touches the game on impact. This is because the high impact can cause a lot of shock on the tip of the broadhead, which in turn can cause a deflection. On the other hand, in the case of rage broadheads, since there are special shock absorbers there is not much of impact on touching the game. This results in a smoother cut and the broadhead literally slices into the flesh of the game. Thus there is no reduction in kinetic energy leading to a quick and easy kill of the game the very first time.
No rubber bands
The other difference between the rage broadheads and other broadheads is that these come with no rubber bands. The special ShockLock mechanism inside the rage broadheads ensures that the blades are firmly in their place. The base of the head comes with a special O-ring design feature. The locking happens easily with a click and the absence of rubber bands eliminates any chances of losing or replacing them.

Broadhead tuning archery?
Getting ready to shoot my thunder heads for the first time, i am a little confused.
1) Everything I read says to make adjustments change the nocking point on the bow string or move the arrow. Would it not be easier to just adjust the sights for this?? My sights are easy to move around. I figure i must be missing something here.
2) How exact does alignment for the broadheads have to be. I bought the arrows and the shop glued in the inserts, so there is only one positioin I can screw the broadheads into. Is this going to be a problem?
Thanks for the help
If you shoot your arrows through paper at 8′ with target behind it you can see if your arrow is fishtailing, or porpoising upon coming out of the bow. You are trying to obtain a bullet hole appearance with just the fletching leaving three tears. ie the nock is end is perfectly following the point. A up and down tear would require you moving your nock point up or down and adjust this first
a right left tear is the arrow rest adjustment in or out. Once you get a bullet hole your bow is shooting in perfect center shot. Now you can remove your target points and install the broad head.
Spin the broad head tipped arrow like a top to be sure the broad head and shaft are aligned. It should spin like a top. No wobble. Now shoot your broad heads and adjust sight for point of impact on target. Always move the pin to the arrow in the target, or as I say chase the arrow with the sight pin. If the arrow is hitting right of the spot, move the pin to the right. Also note if in tuning your broad heads for wobble, with thunderheads you can loosen the broad head and rotate the collar 1/3rd of a turn and hold while tightening and make adjustments to true it. Sometimes you may have to put on a different shaft to get them to spin.
Note: If you are shooting carbon shafts DO NOT HEAT THEM TO ROTATE THE INSERT!! you will ruin them. Alum shafts you can if hot melt was used on the inserts. It is not really necessary to have the blades in alignment with fletching. Hope this helps you, and you can go to Easton.com and get all the info on tuning your arrows there. Good luck to you. Hope this helps
